Procedure

The Lyra SRS implant is inserted into the pelvis using a surgical vaginal approach.

The surgery is performed under general anesthesia under sterile operating room conditions.

The folded SRS implant, is inserted through a small vaginal incision into the desired location in the pelvis. After ensuring appropriate location and size the implant is released.

The incision in the vaginal wall is then sutured using absorbable sutures.

The entire surgical procedure takes approximately 30 minutes. Following the procedure patients must avoid lifting heavy objects for eight weeks. Patients are usually discharged from the hospital between 24 and 48 hours following the surgery.
