Shaul Shahat


Mr. Shaul Shohat joined Lyra Medical on 2017 as a Chairman of its Board of Directors. Mr. Shohat is a serial entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship, senior management and development in the medical devices arena. He has been involved in the incorporation of 8 medical device companies. He is the Co-Founder and chairperson of Bio-Protect, a Co-Founder of Eon Surgical Ltd that was acquired by Teleflex Medical and was a co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of OrthoSpace, which was acquired by a US fund. He also, serves as Director at Xenolith Medical Ltd and was previously the Vice President of R&D at Bio-Rad Laboratories.


Iram Levit,

Founder & CEO

Iram has diverse experience in the medical device arena where he held various managerial positions. Prior co-founding Lyra Medical, Iram was Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Real Imaging Ltd., a medical imaging company specializing in early breast cancer detection. Iram was responsible for all Marketing, Business Development, Product Management and Clinical & Regulatory Affairs activities, as well as fundraising activities and led the preparation for IPO at the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange. Prior to joining Real Imaging Iram managed the entire Product life cycle of a Hemodynamic Monitoring System in Medcon, later acquired by McKesson. Iram led this innovative product line from first concept through a successful penetration to the US and EU markets. Iram holds a BSc. in Biomedical Engineering from Tel-Aviv University.


Dr. Gil Levy, MD,

Founder & CMO

Gil established and currently runs the Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery unit at Mayanei HaYeshua Medical Center (MYMC) in greater Tel Aviv. Prior to joining MYMC, Dr. Levy served as Assistant Professor and Director of the Center for Pelvic Floor Dysfunction and Reconstructive Surgery at Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY and Staten Island University Hospital, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Staten Island, NY, for almost a decade. During that time, he won a coveted spot on the 2008 list of “New-York Best Doctors.” Concurrent to his medical practice, Gil founded Urogyn Ltd. within the Ofakim incubator. Urogyn's suturing device for gynecology surgery was acquired in February 2008. Gil completed a fellowship in urogynecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City and is a recognized as a distinguished researcher and the author of numerous publications. He is a member of the American Urogynecologic Society and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
